Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 2, 2026 · Last updated: April 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how NomNote (“NomNote,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

  1. 1. Scope

    This policy applies to personal information we process in connection with the Services. It does not apply to third-party websites, apps, or services that we do not control, even if linked from the Services.

  2. 2. Information We Collect

    We collect information in the categories below, depending on how you use the Services:

    • Account and profile: Name, email address, phone number, username, password or authentication credentials, profile photo, preferences, language, and similar account details you choose to provide.
    • Location: Approximate or precise location when you grant permission (for example to show nearby venues, events, or maps). You can change location permissions in your device settings.
    • Usage and device: App and web usage (e.g., screens viewed, taps, searches, saves), device identifiers, IP address, device model, operating system, app version, time zone, crash logs, and diagnostic data.
    • Content you provide: Reviews, photos, messages to support, submissions about venues or events, and other content you upload or send.
    • Transactions: If you purchase tickets, memberships, or other paid offerings, payment-related information is processed by our payment partners; we may receive limited transaction metadata (not full payment card numbers).
    • Communications: Records of your communications with us (e.g., email support).
    • Inferences: We may derive preferences or recommendations from your activity to personalize discovery.
  3. 3. How We Use Information

    We use information to:

    • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
    • Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
    • Personalize discovery, recommendations, and content;
    • Show maps, distances, and location-relevant results when permitted;
    • Process transactions, tickets, reservations, or memberships where applicable;
    • Communicate with you about the Services, updates, security, and support;
    • Measure usage, perform analytics, and improve reliability and performance;
    • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and violations of our terms;
    • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements;
    • Send marketing where permitted and with your consent where required (you may opt out as described in communications).
  4. 4. Legal Bases (where applicable)

    Where required by law (for example in the EEA or UK), we rely on one or more of: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (balanced against your rights), consent, and legal obligation. You may withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

  5. 5. Sharing of Information

    We may share information:

    • Service providers: Hosting, analytics, customer support, email delivery, maps, payment processing, security, and similar vendors bound by contractual obligations.
    • Business partners: Where needed to operate features (for example venues or event organizers when you interact with their listings or purchases).
    • Legal and safety: When required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
    • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
    • With your direction: When you choose to share content or connect third-party services.

    We do not sell your personal information as “sale” is defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising where prohibited without appropriate consent.

  6. 6. Cookies, SDKs, and Similar Technologies

    Our websites may use cookies and similar technologies. Our apps may incorporate software development kits (SDKs) for analytics, maps, authentication, payments, push notifications, and crash reporting. You can control many device permissions in system settings.

  7. 7. Data Retention

    We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type; some information may be aggregated or de-identified where appropriate.

  8. 8. Security

    We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  9. 9. International Transfers

    We may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers.

  10. 10. Your Rights and Choices

    Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and opt out of certain marketing. You may exercise rights by contacting us. We may verify requests as permitted by law. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where applicable.

    California residents: You may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing. We do not discriminate for exercising these rights.

  11. 11. Account and Data Deletion

    You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting support@nomnote.com. We may retain certain records where required by law, for legitimate security or fraud-prevention purposes, or as necessary to resolve disputes.

  12. 12. Children

    The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

  13. 13. Third-Party Services

    Venues, payment providers, maps, and other third parties have their own privacy practices. We encourage you to read their policies.

  14. 14. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as in-app or by email). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
